The North Bay Basketball Academy is committed to providing competitive opportunities to all athletes interested in improving their skills.
General Information
REGISTRATION:
The registration period is open through May 30, 2013 on the NBBA website.

WHAT IF I PLAY ANOTHER SUMMER SPORT?:
It is possible for student-athletes to participate in the NBBA summer season while playing another summer sport.
However, the NBBA requires the student-athlete to meet the following requirements:
- Student-athletes must attend at least one practice per week and 6 of the 8 games.

Team Placement - Tryouts
There will be at least one team at each grade level. All players are required to attend a team placement practice the week of June 3 – 6.

NBBA Coaches
The vast majority of NBBA coaches are current or former MCAL varsity, assistant varsity, junior varsity or freshman coaches. Parents are not allowed to coach their child in the NBBA program.

Practice Schedule
Practice Schedule - All Grades:
June 3 – July 21 (Playoffs are July 27 – 28 if we qualify)
(No practice or games June 28 – July 5)
Grade Entering in Fall 2013:
- 3rd/4th Grade: Monday / Wednesday 4:30 - 6:00pm @ St. Vincent's Church
- 5th Grade: Tuesday / Thursday 4:30 - 6:00pm @ St. Vincent's Church
- 6th Grade: Monday / Wednesday 4:30 - 6:00pm @ St. Vincent's Church
- 7th Grade: Tuesday / Thursday 6:00 - 7:30pm @ St. Vincent's Church
- 8th Grade: Tuesday / Thursday 6:00 - 7:30pm @ St. Vincent's Church
8th Graders (going into 9th grade) will be playing for their high schools during the summer.
Every effort will be made to maintain the practice schedule above.

Game Schedule
The MVP Flight League has three levels (D1, D2 and D3) and we will place our teams in the division that allows us to compete for a playoff spot. In other words, we will not play up as we have in some of our spring tourneys. We will play in our appropriate division.

Cost / Dues
Dues for the Club/AAU season cover gym rental, insurance, tournament fees, coaching stipends, and all associated administrative costs. Costs are as follows:
There is a $75 uniform cost with payment due at the time of registration if you haven't already purchased a uniform during the spring season. The same uniform will also be worn in all future Club/AAU or developmental league activities.

Financial Assistance
Financial assistance may be available for certain circumstances of financial hardship. Families must apply and be qualified to receive assistance. The approval process will be evaluated by the NBBA administration. Full assistance is available in exceptionally rare situations.
