Going into Grades 3 – 8
The North Bay Basketball Academy is committed to providing competitive Club/AAU opportunities to all athletes interested in improving their skills at the conclusion of their CYO seasons. NBBA will offer a dual team structure, NBBA Select and NBBA Club, at each grade level (3rd – 8th).

The registration period is open through May 30, 2013 on the NBBA website. Late registration incurs an additional $50 fee.

Team Placement - Tryouts
Team placement will take place June 3-6. All players must participate in at least two of the four practices to be considered for placement on the Select team at their grade level and one of the four practices for the club team. Please see the practice schedule below for detailed information.

NBBA Coaches
The vast majority of NBBA coaches are current or former MCAL varsity, assistant varsity, junior varsity or freshman coaches. Parents are not allowed to coach their child in the NBBA program.

Practices
June 3 – July 21 (Playoffs are July 27-28 if your team qualifies)
No practice or games June 28 – July 5
8th graders that (going into 9th grade) will be playing for their high schools during the summer.
All practices are scheduled in advance and players are expected to attend practices. Teams will normally practice twice a week for 90 minutes. Every effort will be made to follow practice schedules as closely as possible, however, things happen. Please be flexible and cooperative when practice schedules need to be changed.

Game Schedule
The MVP Flight League has three levels (D1, D2, D3) and we will place our teams in the division that allows us try and compete for a playoff spot. In other words, we will not play up as we have in some of our Spring tourneys. We will play in our appropriate divisions.

Cost / Dues
Dues for the Club/AAU season cover gym rental, insurance, tournament fees, coaching stipends, and all associated administrative costs. Costs are as follows:
There is a $75 uniform cost with payment due at the time of registration if you haven't already purchased a uniform during the spring season. The same uniform will also be worn in all future Club/AAU or developmental league activities.

Financial Assistance
Financial assistance may be available for certain circumstances of financial hardship. Families must apply and be qualified to receive assistance. The approval process will be evaluated by the NBBA administration. Full assistance is available in exceptionally rare situations.
